I created Custom Posts with TYPES. They were your basic business listing.

I then installed the CRED plugin to give users ability to create and edit their business.

After setting this up though, I no longer can update these posts within the Post Types area of WP Admin. The only area I can make edits now, appear to be on the front end through CRED form...

Is there something I am missing here? I have more form fields (and backend control) through Post Types as I've restricted some fields from the users (omitting certain fields), but for some reason the changes I make in WP-Admin do not save. It simply updates and the fields revert to their original values.

UPDATE: The problem resolved itself. I first toggled off plugins to see if there was some conflict. No dice. I tried several other tests and nothing worked. Finally, I saw that the TYPES plugin was looking for the latest update... I figured, "What the heck" so I updated it and then it worked.

So, it's great that this now works, but why does it suddenly stop working when there's a new update? Is that built in or was it just a coincidence that after reinstalling it cleared up the issue.

Any input here is greatly appreciated.

Thx,
Bill B.

I am glad to hear that issue was resolved. Yes it looks like a coincidence, since update is a sole decision which shouldn't stop existing operations. However, if you encounter such a thing in future, please feel free to open a new thread and report the issue. So we can work with you to sort this out.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything related.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I appreciate the input here, and will let you know if it ever happens again.

Thx,
Bill B.
