I am trying to: Import an XML file

After choosing the XML file, and clicking Upload, I get this error screen:

hidden link

This isn't my official XML file, but here is a small one for testing which gives the same error: hidden link (all XML files give this error)

This is done with a fresh install of WordPress. Also in the video above you can see I have not even uploaded my theme. So this eliminates any possibility that it's a theme issue. If I do this on an older existing testing site then it strangely works. But I need to do this on a NEW site. About 5 times today, created new WP sites from scratch. Also created new WP databases thinking the database was at fault.

This WP theme will eventually be for sale, and it's very important for customers to be able to import an XML file. Thanks! 🙂

This is due to the insufficient permissions on your "upload folder or directory" (upload_dir). Please see if you have enough permissions set to your Uploads folder. A "755" permissions mode should work, on the other hand you can try with full access mode (777) too, but that's not recommended on production and public websites due to security threat.

Please let me know if it works and if I can help you with anything related.

That's it, thanks so much! There was not even an "uploads" folder so I had to create it. It's required that I have to create this folder (don't know why), and by accident I had it called "images" instead of "uploads". Renamed it to "uploads" and now all is good. Thanks! 🙂
