Saving a post with a file field may produce an error if Jetpack is installed

Resolved

Reported for: Toolset Types 2.2.13

Resolved in: Toolset Types 2.2.14

Symptoms

Creating or editing a post when it has a Types file field (including Image, Audio, Video, and Generic File fields) might produce a PHP error if the Jetpack plugin is activated on the site.

This compatibility issue is related to the image widget module of Jetpack and the way it handles the upgrade of existing Jetpack image widgets to the new format for the native image widgets included in WordPress 4.8.

Workaround

This issue will be fixed in the next version of Toolset Types.

In the meantime, this patch can be applied by unzipping it and uploading the file it contains to replace the one with the sme name, located in the /library/toolset/toolset-common/toolset-forms/classes/ folder of Toolset Types 2.2.13 stable version or in our latest Types 2.2.14-b1 beta release.

Also, if you have another Toolset plugin installed, you might need to replace this same file in the following locations:

  • For Views 2.4, /embedded/toolset/toolset-common/toolset-forms/classes/.
  • For Views 2.4.1-b1, /vendor/toolset/toolset-common/toolset-forms/classes/.
  • For CRED 1.9, /library/toolset/toolset-common/toolset-forms/classes/.
  • For CRED 1.9.1-b1, /vendor/toolset/toolset-common/toolset-forms/classes/.
  • For Access 2.4.1 and 2.4.2-b1, /vendor/toolset/toolset-common/toolset-forms/classes/.
  • For Layouts 2.0.1 and 2.0.2-b1, /vendor/toolset/toolset-common/toolset-forms/classes/.
