Views 2.1 introduced pagination settings for WordPress Archives. When the number of posts per page of a WordPress Archive that is used as a Layout cell does not match the number of items per page selected in the WordPress – Settings – Reading page, paginating on the archive page can lead to a page not found or 404.
Please note that this does not affect WordPress Archives used on their own, but only those used as Layouts cells.
Currently, there is no workaround for this issue, which will be addressed in a future version of Views and/or Layouts. On the meantime, we strongly recommend you to use the pagination option labeled as default pagination size in WordPress Archives used as Layouts cells.
