Hi,

I have a custom taxonomy whose URL and id is in English, and I want to change them both to Hebrew.

Is there going to be any harm for the plugin's functionality (harming the taxonomy AJAX filter in a custom search for example), And if not how can I change them?

Thanks

Hi, Hebrew language taxonomy terms and slugs are supported by Types and Views filters. However, if you have already created a Query Filter in English, you may need to recreate that filter once you change the term slugs. For example, if you have a View that is set to only show posts in the category "News Foundation" with the slug "news-foundation", then you change the category name to "חדשות הקרן" and the slug to "חדשות-הקרן", the filter will not work until you update it to use the translated term slug.

Thank you for the reply, but I still want to ask if there are any cross influences on the plugin's functionality when changing taxonomy term's id and slug, i.e. will affect other places in my site's code.

Thanks

The functionality of Views and Types in general will not be broken by a change to existing taxonomy term slugs - this action is expected and flexibility is built into the plugins to handle it. A taxonomy term filter control in an AJAX View should not be negatively impacted by this change. The new term slug will be added to the options shown here as needed. As I mentioned, you may need to update any existing Query Filters that use the existing term slugs. You may need to resave your site permalinks. If you have any conditionals in place that reference the old slug, they must be updated. If you have any custom code that uses existing slugs, you must update that code.

OK I'll notice those things when changing. Thanks you!
