Hello,

I am building a directory for a client. De website contains all the businesses that are located in a certain area of the city. (We have the data).

I want to build an overview page of B2C and B2B with categories for filtering. All the data has to be stored in XML on FTP because the client wants it to be synchronized with bookkeeping. Some companies are members of the business association, others aren't. Every company is visible on the site, but only the real members should be placed in a dutch bookkeeping program. So maybe they should have a checkbox (member yes no).

The bookkeeping program should read the xml and change the data accordingly. So when a company is added, a new record is being added to bookkeeping. If a phone number changes, the bookkeeping also changes the phone number.

The bookkeeping program provides a xml-import tool (on the bookkeeping side) which is able to read FTP for any changes.

Then, the emailaddresses of the company, and the relevant contact persons should be sent to Active Campaign. In WordPress, while adding a company, it should have an option to place the email in a certain group.

Do you have suggestions on how to realize this?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Martin,

Thank you for contacting Toolset support. Types plugin allows you to add Email Field or any other field while adding a Company. Whereas Company can be added as a Custom Post Type.

Add Custom Post Types:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/create-a-custom-post-type/

Add custom fields:
https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/structure-your-data-with-custom-post-types-fields-and-taxonomies/add-custom-fields/

However, Toolset does not have any way to automatically export the Content as XML and then sync it with a 3rd party service. This would need to be done using pure Custom coding & custom development and we cannot consult on custom code as this is out of support policy (https://toolset.com/toolset-support-policy/) . For this, you should contact Toolset recommended service providers to further discuss the custom approach. We have some recommended list of service providers here if you would like to take a look: https://toolset.com/consultant/

Thank you
