I'd like to display taxonomy selection as a regular <select>. I set display='select' single_select='true' attributes but it doesn't work. I found that it works only for hierarchical taxonomies. It doesn't make sense to me. Is there any reason why it works for hierarchical taxonomies, but doesn't work for flat ones? Is it a bug, or a "feature"?

Dear lapala,

Please check our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/cred-shortcodes/#cred_field
‘display’=> [optional] Used by fields for Hierarchical Taxonomies (like Categories) to signify the mode of display (ie. “select” or “checkbox”)
This attribute display='select' only works for the Hierarchical Taxonomies, as a result, the attribute single_select='true' works only for the Hierarchical Taxonomies too.

Since your user account Subscription is "Types", for better support, could you provide a valid subscription of CRED plugin?
You can get your user account details here:

@Luo,

I know how it works. I do not ask for help. But IMO it doesn't make sense at all. I see no reason why this feature works only for hierarchical taxonomies.

So this post is a feature request or even a bug report because it looks more like a bug than a feature. Can you mark is as a feature request and pass to developers?

As your request, I forward it to our developers as a feature request, our developers will evaluate it, but I am not sure if it will be applied into CRED plugin, you can subscribe to our blog to get the updated news
