Released on:

New features

Permanently Delete Bulk Action

We added the option to bulk delete selected items in Custom Post Types, Custom Taxonomies and Custom Field Groups admin screens.

In order to use this feature, check the desired items from the list, select Delete permanently  from the bulk actions list and click Apply.

Attention: this operation can not be undone.

Permanently Delete Bulk Action

Slug Auto Creation

When you add a new Custom Post Type or a Custom Taxonomy, the slug is now created automatically, based on the value of the singular name text field, when you focus (using mouse click or tab key) to another field. This feature has already existed in Custom Fields Group.

Duplicate Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomies

We added the option to duplicate selected items in Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomies admin screens.

In order to use this feature, hover on the desired item from the list and click Duplicate. This action duplicates only the definition of a Custom Post Type or Custom Taxonomy, not data (entries, posts, taxonomies).

You can add an “Excerpt” field, when choosing which child fields to display. This option will appear along with the other ones, when you click Edit Fields in Children section of a Custom Post Type Relationship.

Excerpt Field in Child Posts

In order to use this feature, you have to enable the Excerpt field in the child Custom Post Type properties.

You can now add an excerpt on parent Custom Post Type edit page.

New Filter: wpcf_field_image_max_width

We added a “wpcf_field_image_max_width” filter which allows you to change the image width on admin screens.

Let’s assume that you have the following Custom Post Type admin screen.

Sortable Custom Fields

All custom fields in Custom Post Type admin screens are now sortable. Note that if you sort the list by a custom field that has not be saved into a post (for example you added this, when a post had already been created), this post will not be displayed in the list.

Covered Fields

We fixed a problem with fields being covered by colorbox on Custom Post Type edit page.

We fixed a bug when selecting an image for Custom Image Field in the Child Posts, after using the Add New, Save All and Save buttons.

Wrap by Paragraph Τag

We fixed a bug about multi-line fields not being wrapped with a paragraph HTML tag.

Error Message

We fixed an issue about a wrong message that was displayed, when minimum number of characters has not been reached.

One comment on version 1.7

  • I really hope you will consider keeping your promise.

I was promised since version 1.4.x that you will include multiple image selection on image fields with multiple values.

Its been many updates since, but still nothing.
Everytime i see a Types Update, i really hope it has the feature, but im disappointed every time as well, because its not done yet.

It is very irritating for both me and my clients to have to upload 1 image at the time, and click add new image for each image..

To think that you are able to do such complex and advanced coding as Types and Views, but not making it possible to upload multiple images at one time, is really a mistery to me.

Is this feature not a priority? Is it too hard? What is it?
Currently and for a long time, i have had to use very time taking methods to achieve this, using a 3rd plugin , but it should have been a temporary solution only until you fixed this with Types, but it seems it is going to be a permanent solution to me..

I really want to know if you are going to do this or not. I have opened 3 tickets suggesting this feature + follow ups, and still nothing.. I was promised this in all my tickets, and it should have been included with Types 1.6.x but still nothing.

Please, if you are not going to make this feature, tell me so i will restructure my development due to unkept promises, and not use any temporary solutions but permanent ones.

    Thank you.
