Types 2.2 adds placeholders for image field, provides new API hooks and fixes bugs.

Placeholders for Image Field

When you upload an image into the media library, you can set the title, alternative text, caption and description for this image. From now on, Types allows to display these values using placeholders in the image field.

The placeholders are: %%TITLE%%, %%CAPTION%%, %%ALT%% and %%DESCRIPTION%%%.

New API Hooks

Two more hooks are now available in Types: types_import_from_zip_file API filter and types_finished_saving_child_posts action.

Bug Fixes

Types 2.2 fixes a bunch of bugs, including issues in generic field definitions queries, saving child posts with repetitive fields in the parent’s edit page, same fields in multiple groups and performance issue with front-end display table. See the changelog for the full list of bug fixes.

Download and Update

You can get this release directly to the WordPress admin or download and install manually. To receive automatic updates, you need to register the Toolset plugins on your site. Then, visit the Plugins or Updates admin pages. To download manually, visit your Toolset Account and go to Downloads. Follow the installation and upgrade instructions for complete details.

When you update the Toolset plugins, be sure to update together all the components that you are using. Don’t use a mixture of new and older versions.
