Edit Button.JPG

My Assumption: From what I have been able to piece together so far, the DEFAULT state re: the permalink/slug Edit Button on the default post pages and any custom post templates I create, is NO EDIT BUTTON, unless a "fancy" (custom) permalink has been specified on the Permalinks page.

What I Want: I'm wanting an "Edit Button" so I can edit the slugs on custom posts I create.

How Do I: do that for my custom post type pages? (the post templates I create with the Toolset plugin)

Hi Phillip,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

I suspect that this button might not be there because of a plugin.

Would you mind temporarily disabling all of your non-toolset plugins and see if the button shows up ?

Looking forward to hearing the results.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Phillip,

That is strange as i'm not able to replicate this issue.

Would it be possible to provide me with admin access to the website so that I can have a look ?

The private fields will be enabled for your next response.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Phillip,

I took a look at this for you and you should now be able to edit your CPT url.

Please try this and let me know if it works now.

Thanks,
Shane

Looks like it's working now.

Please tell me what you did so I can learn something here. And thanks for the help!

Hi Phillip,

The rewrite setting was disabled for your CPT in the custom post type settings.

All I did was to enable it and it works now.

Thanks,
Shane

Crap. I even looked for that but couldn't find it. Always something simple.....

Thanks, Shane!
